Biting the Bullet

I am just back from the dentist. It was my first time at the dentist in nearly fifteen years. I had my teeth and gums checked. Everything is good. I am so happy.

The dentist was a small lady in her late twenties. She was nice.  Any nervousness I had, when I arrived, was instantly quashed. She said I’ve obviously been looking after my teeth very well over the years.

I’ve to get two small fillings done next week. She gave me a run through of the process. I sampled some gel that caused a numbing effect. This mimicked the sensation I would experience when under anaesthetic.

I am so chuffed with myself. I felt I should have been offered a lolly as I left.
